LAB42 Talk: Paola Grosso - Shaping the Internet of the Future
Shaping the Internet of the Future
In this talk Paola Grosso will address the question: can we make the Internet more secure, more energy efficient, and closer to the needs of its users? To come to an answer, she will present how novel technologies, such as software-defined-networks and programmable devices, can support a more responsible Future Internet. She will provide an overview of her past and current research efforts in this area, with focus on the integration between networks and applications. She will then look forward at the still many open challenges, namely the complex relation between ongoing engineering advances and their broader effects on computing architectures and digital services.
